A day none of us will ever forget, let us not forget so we can grow from it.

What a better way to end the trip than with an awesome group of ladies at a Beth Moore conference in Lubbock. There were a total fo 11 of us, (two not pictured).

Chimney Rock, all I can say is I DID IT!!!!! It is over 400 steps to the top of chimney rock, then an additional 300 plus to the top of the mountain and I climbed every one of them. As you can see NC is an absolutely beautiful state. The mountains, rivers, trees, and it was all so green and the weather was perfect. Too early for the trees to change colors, but maybe we will just have to go back and see it again sometime.

The Biltmore manison. You hear about this place all the time, but wow, you gotta see it to beleive it. We spent almost a full day there. Can you beleive it was built in 1895, sorry no pics from the inside. There were 40 something bathrooms, 60 something fireplaces, over 1 million sq feet of living space. Totally seperate servant quarters. Pool, bowling alley, library, a garden that has about every flower and plant you could think of.

Wow, this was the most amazing trip. I could have done nothing but seen these fine ladies and it would have been worth it all. I could see my mom in each one of them so many times. It's nice how you can love someone and only seen them once or twice in your lifetim

Let me introduce you to these sweeties:

sitting down are, Moms oldest sister, turning 90 soon is Aunt Gertie, then her daugther and moms niece Yvonne who is closer to moms age than mine, she is 67, then her second oldest sister who is 88 Aunt Violet. Next to me is Yvonne's daughter Vonda Kaye. We spent house with them and it was like we lived next door is was so comfortable and warm.

Yvonne made this awesome chocolate pie that I will be making soon.

This year Bruce's shellers conference was in Asheville NC. I didn't hestitate to go with him, since my mom was from NC and I had not been over there in many a year, actually I was 9 when I went. I arranged to see two of moms sisters and her neice (my cousin) and her daughter. I had not seen my aunts since 1975.

I had the fun morning with just the two little ones. It was a great morning. They are so great together. Just the two of them which is very unusual, so they got to do their own thing.

It's been a couple of weeks, but here is my new do. Not the best shot, I'm sure you will see more of it.

Today was the first day of 2nd grade for Jake, Kindergarten for Jonas and pre-K for Maddox. Am I get old, or just my g-kids.

I have read one of the most amazing book.

Heaven is for Real

I don't know if you have gotten a chance

to read it yet, but don't put it off,

go out and get it right away and take some

time to read about Colton and how he

has experienced heaven.

It's an easy read.

It is just totally amazing

and will open your

eyes in a whole new way at looking at heaven.

I guess what better way to reach us

but through the eyes of a child.

We had a great time up in the mountains at Family Camp

this weekend. Man, those boys love hiking. Didn't get a picture

of it, but they caught 3 snakes, and a salamander.

Hoping for some coolness, so headed up to the cabin for a few days of family camp and maybe escape the heat.
As I go through my days there are so many times I wanna call my mom. We shared and told each other everything, and that is a hard thing to stop. I cherish my memories of her so much, I don't remember a bad time with her, and I am totally blessed by that.
